Sharing struggles and swapping lessons at the Ed-Tech Founder Dinner in Amsterdam

On May 8 2025, Nick and Bob headed to Zoku Amsterdam to join the Ed-Tech Founder Dinner, hosted by the Dutch Ed-Tech community. Gatherings like these are a great reminder of how much value there is in sitting down with people who understand the world you are building in.

Over dinner we spoke openly about the challenges of building an ed-tech company: reaching the right users, working within the world of education, and turning a strong idea into a product that genuinely helps students learn. Talking honestly with founders who face the same things, without having to explain the basics first, is refreshing.

What made the evening especially rewarding was that the sharing went both ways. We picked up insight from more experienced founders, and helped others with challenges we have already worked through ourselves. That spirit of mutual support is exactly what makes a founder community so powerful.
